Indy came into rescue after being thrown over the fence of a KS shelter. This in no way affected his terrific personality. Indy is an Italian Grey Hound/Vizsla mix. He is very smart, easy to handle, takes tight curves at high speed without losing control. He has that wonderful trade mark “Roo Roo Roo” of the Vizsla breed. Also his personality will bring a smile to your heart and giggle to your voice. He loves toys, and his favorite ones get hidden in his crate, he prances around the house like he owns the place. Indy is a lover and he especially loves belly rubs.

Indy was adopted by a wonderful family that appreciates his uniqueness and here is there story: Indy is doing very well in his new home. He is learning lots of new things, including what it means to be the big brother, what he can and can’t chew on, and that the car is not a big evil creature but really just the fastest way to get to the dog park. He certainly is a runner, and even though we consistently go for long runs I get the feeling that he’s barely trying. He’s the fastest dog at the park outside of the Greyhounds, and nobody can tell what type of dog he is (maybe because he’s just a brown blur most of the time). Burly, his Boston Terrier brother, has yet to give up the illusion that he is boss, but when they go to the park they definitely watch out for each other. At home Indy has a tendency to get into stuff that he shouldn’t – yesterday he got into the trash and had an empty Parmesan cheese tube around his nose (we couldn’t help but laugh). He’s learning some new tricks such as stay and lay down, and he’s also a natural model for the camera so Tami’s gotten some great pics already. He’s such a sweet and unique dog, always affectionate and interested in what we’re up to. His tongue and his tail never stop once we come home! We’re very glad to have him in our home (even Burly, although he might not admit it yet). - Michael, Tami, and Burly
