Hunter is a purebred, 1 yr old, neutered male who was owner-surrendered to a local shelter on April 4th. We became of aware of him and promptly arranged for his release. He was fostered and evaluated by Katie, one of our volunteers, for a couple of weeks.

Hunter is young and had no real issues except for his desire for a lot of exercise. He was adopted by Bruce & Lynne who have a lot of room for him to run and tire himself out. He is a cuddle bunny and lap dog, is that not a surprise. During the transfer of Hunter to his new family, I became aware of his interest in cats. Obviously he has not lived around them. Well his Bruce & Lynne have a cat, Milo, who is mainly an outside cat. A week after Hunter arrived, Milo let him know who was the “alpha” and stripped him on the nose. Now Hunter keeps his distance and when the family goes on walks, Milo follows behind. It is almost like he is just letting Hunter know that if he steps out of line, Milo will make sure to remind him who is boss. - Rita
