Holly was picked up as a stray by animal control. The shelter contacted me
and I arranged to pick her up. She is a very sweet, stubborn, self confident
young purebred female. She is approximately 4 yrs old, crate broken and
housebroken.
The perfect forever home was found for her with a Bob, a retired man who has
had Vizslas for years. Bob had contacted us a couple of years ago and we
didnt have a dog for him then and he kind of got forgotten. This goes to
show you persistence pays off.
Bob drove up from southern CO with his family, daughter, son-in-law, and
grandkids and one of their friends. Bob fell in love with Holly instantly
and I believe it was mutual, there was a connection.
Here is Bobs daughters story on Holly: Holly has settled in quickly with
my parents and their routine. She walks on a lead daily with my dad and
broke to the lead with minimal trouble. No problems in the home and is now
sleeping on her bed in their bedroom. She has become a great companion to my
dad and is exactly what we had hoped for. She looks forward to their daily
walks and to my Dad coming home after a few hrs at work. She sits at his
feet in the evenings and enjoys quiet time with both of them. She has played
well with our lab. In short, a very happy ending!! Thanks! Love, Kim
Update: Her name is Holly. It could have been Holy for the angel she turned
out to be in my Dads' life. Have you ever had a friend who loved you so much
that she couldn't bear to be separated from you? Thanks to your Vizsla
Rescue Group, my Dad now has that remarkable kind of friend--with fur! This
treasured, devoted companion has provided comfort and joy that's almost
impossible to calculate. Bless you for the work that you do - Kim
