Duke fka Chris

Duke fka Chris is a 3 yr old male who was owner surrendered with another dog. Duke fka Chris is a very loving boy, who just wants to be loved and be with his people. He came to us a little overweight, and we helped him shed some excess pounds.

He loves to run with our other dogs and can keep up most of the time. Overall, he is a calm dog, but he does love to wrestle with our other dogs.

We suspect that Duke had been abused in the past. When he is given any command, even in a quiet, calm voice, he hunkers down as if he is going to be hit. This occurs despite whether it is a command to get off furniture or to go out a door. We have been working with him to give him a lot of love. He will follow you around the house, and lick your hand any chance that he gets.

Duke was adopted by John. John had never had a Vizsla before, but a family member had and he fell in love with the breed. Duke & John were best friends right away and we have another success story. - Rita
