Mr. Digs is a purebred Vizsla; a very respectable year and a half old. He was surrendered to a KS shelter by his owner because he kept getting into the neighbor’s chicken run and had killed some. He tells us he was just trying to find some fun; he couldn't help if the chickens lay down and never got up again.

He has good manners and likes to be where the people are. There isn't mean bone in his body.

Digby was adopted by Bridget & Shane. We have been slowly but surely using the water and vinegar squirt bottle trick Jerry showed us when he tracks our cat. He still on occasion tries it but the minute he sees the bottle he quits. She sure does peak his interest. He knows all the places she hides and hits every one of them the minute we let him out of the crate in the morning.

Speaking of outside we never had the problem with him not wanting to go out in the dark as long as the porch lights on and Missy is with him he's fine. He's also started to eat in the morning as long as he can stand outside the crate and do so. This guy is quite the character he keeps us laughing and on our toes all day long. My husband is constantly calling me on his cell phone and sending me pictures of him all day when I'm at work and I do the same to him at night when he's at work there's always a story to tell with Digby around.

We've been taking him to friends and families homes with us to visit and socialize and he usually is on his best behavior. Still no luck with him fetching a ball but you throw a baby (stuffed toy) and he's on it! He'll even bring it back and drop it in front of us when we tell him "drop". Only problem is, once you start you better be ready to play for awhile! I'm thinking with him around I may be able to cancel my gym membership. He can give me a way better work out! This guy will walk for miles then come home and be ready to play. I think Missy is going to lose some of her weight trying to keep up with us.

Last night I was taking a bath and he jumped in the tub before I could even get the words "NO" out of my mouth so I'm thinking there may be a chance that he will swim at the lake, so long as we are there. I did get out and put him in time out in the crate for a couple minutes while I dried off so he didn't think this was okay (but it was funny). We are having a great time with him. Thank-you for all your hard work, it certainly shows in his behavior! We could have not have asked for a better dog we love him already! I will keep you posted on his progress and certainly ask for advice should anymore issues come up thanks again! - Bridget
