Chancho fka Duke is a very sweet purebred Vizsla who was owner-surrendered. He has no aggression or house issues and is potty and crate trained. He is 13 months old. He shows lots of affection, he missed his family but bonded quickly to anyone who would show him a little love. He seems to have been trained in a few tricks but we are also teaching him some. He has good recall to his name, but he still has the puppy distractibility and needs consistent rules and training. He has a lot of expression in his eyes. He loves to run and jump and fetch outside.He does well around other dogs and gets along with cats too.

Mariana’s story about their new family addition, Chancho. Chancho fka Duke has been a great addition to our family. He learned to play fetch very quickly and loves it even more when it involves his squeeky toys. He's learning how to run when we rollerblade with him, and we are sure he'll learn quickly. We can't wait to take him to off-leash parks and watch him run around. He has learned that he must eat at mealtime or else he will have to wait until the next meal, and he is so proud of himself when he finishes a bowl of food. Chancho is one of the best behaved Vizslas we have ever seen. He loves his crate and will go in to take a mid-day nap and goes in very easily at night. In the mornings he's full of energy will stretch every second he gets and is ready for a walk. He loves people and can't wait to get petted by everyone in sight.

In the evening when it's closer to bedtime, we put a blanket over him, and he falls right asleep and especially loves it when he gets completely underneath the blanket (so cozy and warm). Chancho is definitely a people pleaser and has learned our rules very quickly. We're so lucky to have him. ~Chris and Mariana
