Bentley
June 15, 2006 – June 28, 2006 

Bentley is a 15 week old purebred male Vizsla. He was owner surrendered. They lived in an apartment and were unable to provide Bentley with the exercise and attention he needed. If you could harness his energy, he could probably light up your whole house, he is a dynamo.

He is a very sweet boy and loves to cuddle when you can get him to slow down. He loves to play in the wading pool and with the other rescue puppies. He is a very smart dog and is learning the routine very quickly.

Bentley found his forever home with the family of Peggy Sue, Dave & Ilona. Peggy Sue isn’t quite sure about having competition for attention, but she will enjoy having someone to play with and help her check out the squirrels.

Bentley did very well on his first night in his new home. But, the first thing he did when he saw his new back yard, was to dive into Dave & Ilona’ Koi pond. He sure wasn’t making points with them. They were probably thinking, “what were we thinking when we decided to take a puppy?” Dave said he will probably have to fence off the Koi pond until Bentley learns it is off limits. They will also buy him his own wading pool. All they have to do is look into Bentley’s eyes and they melt, especially when he cuddles in their lap.

Note: It sure is quiet here since he left. My pup and the other 2 rescue puppies just sit outside waiting for Bentley to come and start the play games. - Rita

Peggy Sue
May 13, 2006 – June 16, 2006

Peggy Sue was sitting in a KS shelter when we heard about her. She was determined to be a purebred, young, female Vizsla around 1 ½ yrs old. She turned out to have a very effective disguise; she is actually a Vizsla/Brittany mix. There is not one thing wrong with her. She is housebroken, crate trained, lap trained, does well on a leash, total recall on her new name. You can bathe her, clip her nails, clean her ears without a problem. She will sit in your lap for hours or lay on the floor very quietly, she does not rip or tear through the house too much. She is a very peaceful dog, she just wants to be wherever you are. Wonderful dog!!!

Peggy Sue found her forever home with Ilona & Dave who are not new to rescue, they have adopted several Vizslas through our group. Ilona & Dave just love her to death and spoil her. She gets to sleep in their bed and has a wonderful yard to play in and bury her toys in. She has developed this habit of taking her stuffed toys out in the yard and burying them. Who know why, but she has to do it. She will also sit for hours watching the squirrels, most likely trying to figure out a way she could catch one. - Rita
