Hank is a young 14 month old neutered male Vizsla who was left at a vet clinic to have his broken leg fixed. The owner paid the bill and never came back to pick him up. He loves to play with his tennis ball, Nylabone and other chew toys and hasn't chewed too much on forbidden items. He likes to fetch these toys and involve you in the game.

He has recovered well from a broken leg received in a car accident and runs around just fine with the other dogs in the yard. He is one of the best-behaved foster dogs to come through our home with no evident fears - he wants to play with the broom while you sweep. He is affectionate as only a Vizsla can be.

Hank was adopted by Philip & Lindsey who enjoy this happy pup very much. - Rita
 

Hank Update – March 2009: the first week or so was a little rough while Hank and the cats figured out their places in the “pet hierarchy”, but things eventually settled down. We absolutely adore him! Our male cat took a while to take a liking to him but now they are buddies and Hank lets him bite his ears and face regularly to take out some aggression. It is really quite cute!
He is everything we have ever wanted in a dog and I am so glad we found him. We go hiking all the time and he does fantastic off the leash and never goes too far away. He comes running with me daily and is quite the running partner- we do a good job motivating each other! He goes to doggy day care one day a week when Phil and I have long days away from home and Hank is the favorite there. They call him their “chaperone” as he hates when the other dogs get in fights and is always the first one there to break things up.
His leg is doing well- it seemed at first with all the exercise he was getting that it was pretty sore all the time, but I have started giving him acupuncture treatments and I think they are really helping his pain.
We just put an offer down on a house and are hoping to hear soon- it has a nice big back yard and tons more room for Hank.
