Rusty, now known as Zoltan, was surrendered to a vet
hospital in Pueblo, CO on February 28, 2003. his previous
adopter instructed the hospital to put him to sleep, they
called me. We took him and he was adopted by Bob Decher &
Mary Waters on March 1, 2003. He lived a happy life with 2
people who adored & spoiled him.

Labor Day weekend, 2004, Zoltan was running in a field with
his adopted brother, Fred (of Fred & Peaches), as they
routinely do. Evidentially the dogs flushed something up
and took off. Zoltan was hit by a car and killed, I don’t
believe the driver even stopped. Fred was gone for a couple
of hours and returned. He is depressed, he misses his
