Daisy fka Dora

May 7, 2004 – March 13, 2009

Daisy fka Dora was a Vizsla/Lab mix, approximately 9 months old. She was adopted fairly quickly, but came back to rescue within a few months due to her adopter’s illness. She was adopted again. This adoption lasted for almost 5 years.

The new adopters had a new baby and Daisy felt her position in the family was in danger and she came back to us again. Evidentially the family was having problems with her for quite awhile and never let us know, even though we sent out quarterly adoption follow-ups.

Her behavior was unpredictable behavior and aggression problems with some dogs and some people. We spent time working with her, but her erratic and unpredictable behavior was not conducive to adopting her out. We decided the kindest thing we could do for her would be to help her cross over the Rainbow Bridge. Many tears were shed by those who she touched. We do not make these decisions lightly and only in the best interests of the dog.
