Cookie
Rainbow Bridge July 2, 2004

Cookie was picked up from a shelter on June 9th , 2004, she was found at large in Hays, KS. Cookie was a very sweet lady approx 3-5 yrs of age, she was spayed and a real doll. She was very easy to find a home for, and her adoption was to take place on July3rd. On July 2nd, Cookie started having seizures, I tried to help her and was bitten twice, she had several, what the vet called grand mal seizures, and each time she seemed to be scared to death of me. I couldn’t even get near her. The last one left her in such a state that she wouldn’t let me get out of my chair. I called my vet and told him what was happening, and he said he’d come to the house to see if he could help Cookie. When he arrived she had another seizure, he had no problem, sedating her. I decided that Cookie would be happier on the other side of the bridge, my vet offered to take her to the clinic and put her to sleep, but I asked him to do it here, so she would have someone who loved her with her. So I held Cookie until she was gone, Cookie no longer has health issues. That more than likely was the reason she was running loose on the city streets. Cookie is a rescue success story. She didn’t die unloved or alone. Run free sweet Cookie, we’ll play ball again. - Polly
