Tucson
February 25, 2006 – March 18, 2006

Tucson came into rescue late February 2006. His “breeder” was liquidating his stock. There was mom & dad and 2 sisters, we were able to at least get the 2 boys, Tucson and Pepsi (all 14 weeks old). Even though he was sweet & very lovable there was a part of him that didn't trust people no matter how nice we were to him. He would growl and snap for no apparent reason at the person who was petting him. Over the 3 weeks he was at his foster home his aggressive behavior kept escalating despite everything that was tried to help break the cycle and change his behavior for the better.

For 3 wks he got to have the kind of life he was meant to have living inside, having regular meals, and laying & sleeping in a warm and safe environment with his brother. He was surrounded by people who cared deeply for him and tried to gain his trust.

He was only 17 wks old when we helped him make the journey across the Rainbow Bridge on Saturday, March 18, 2006. Having Tucson cross the rainbow bridge at such an early age was very difficult, however it was the best home for him. He's now forever safe from ever harming anyone or receiving any type of punishment for his behavior which he couldn't seem to help or ever get past.

As a devoted group of people for Vizsla rescue, we strive to find the best home for each individual dog that comes our way. Bad breeding and maybe even a not so perfect environment to spend his first 14 wks in were the main contributing factors in Tucson's dominant and aggressive disposition. - Zena
