HOGAN'S PROFILE

Profile:
Let me tell ya’ll about a dog I know. His name is Hogan, he is a 2 yr old,
purebred male Vizsla surrendered by his family because they have a new baby,
both work, and didn't have the time to spend with him He has perfect recall on
his name. Hogan is a clown, a goof ball and a true joy to have around. He can
jump through an open car window, cause going Bye-Bye is his favorite thing in
the world. He can also jump into the bed of a pickup truck, not just any truck
mind you, a 4X4 truck!!
Hogan is agile, very agile, but he does have a problem, he has MILD hip
dysplasia, in his right hip. If he is kept at a good weight, and some
supplements given, he could easily live his entire life without any real
problems. He is still able to run, jump, go for long walks, care and caution
will need to be the key words to living with Hogan. Hogan likes kids, ages 8 and
up, gets along with other dogs, pays no attention to my cats, will however once
in a while drink out of my fish tank, doesn’t hurt the gold fish, just gets a
little slurp once in a while. He is house broken, crate trained, walks well on a
leash. Oh I almost forgot, he also had a fluid cyst on his neck, but that has
been removed, all he has left is a bare patch, but the hair will grow back.
Hogan is a very sweet dog who would love to have a family of his own, if you are
interested in adopting Hogan please fill out an adoption application. What are
you waiting for? Remember Don’t shop, Adopt from a rescue or shelter, and thank
you for considering a rescued Vizsla. Hogan is up to date on all shots and
heartworm negative - Polly
Hogan is a sweet boy, very docile dog in the house. He is cuddler and lover. And
- he seems to be a "girl's" dog. He followed me around all the time and lay at
my feet while I was eating. Scott had him in the bedroom alone watching TV and
Hogan whined and stood at the door the whole time. When Scott let him out Hogan
ran to the kitchen and lay on the floor while I was cooking. Hogan has a good
appetite, is not food aggressive, does not counter surf or chew on anything
other than dog toys. He sits patiently for his food as drool puddles on the
floor. And - he is very, very well housebroken. He picked up almost immediately
that to "go out and go potty" means to go to the back door. He whines and stands
near you when he needs to go out so it is very obvious. He knows "sit" and
"shake", and is learning about getting along with other dogs, doesn’t seem to
have a problem with cats. He noticed them and paid attention but didn't chase
them or anything like that. He is crate trained, sleeps in his crate.
Hogan jumped his previous owner’s 4’ chain link fence periodically when they
left him out, but he came right back. He was probably lonesome or bored. Dogs
don’t normally jump their owner’s fence if they get enough attention. The
previous owners also said he doesn't do well in crates at all. His previous
owner said they just left him loose in the house and that he did fine and also
that he slept in the closet. – Teila
