GINGER'S PROFILE

Profile:

Ginger is a 6-8 month old purebred Vizsla. She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and up to date on her shots. She was picked up as a stray and ended up at a shelter. She was very skinny and did not have much of an appetite. This has improved and she is gaining weight along with more self confidence. She is crate trained and she does like it. She would much rather sleep with someone if she was allowed. She plays well with other animals. She has been exposed to my sister’s 2 dogs and my mom’s 2 dogs as well as our pack and does very well.  She will tell you when she is hungry which some days is 3 times a day sometimes 2.  She likes "something" on her kibble a 1/2 cup of raw diet is her favorite, and she also likes tuna, oatmeal, rice, eggs and grated cheese.

She plays well by herself as well. She will get toys and play on the floor quietly on her own.
She IS still puppy. Put the shoes away! She is still working on her leash skills, but she has sit and down. Stay..... we’re getting there. Her off leash handling is great and she has a super nose. She will work about a 25 yard perimeter around you, never straying far.

She loves our girls and other kids. She would do fine with little ones, with supervision. Again she is still puppy. She likes to use her paw to tell you she is hungry and that might hurt a little one. She uses the dog door or will ask to go out.

Overall she is very calm and relaxed and attentive to the family. A nice change to the high energy of our own Vizslas.

She is also not offended if you want to pick her up and carry her around. They all think they are still babies! - Mel
